Women Powered by Withings
As we approach the 50th Boston 10K for Women, our sponsor Withings will recognize 10 amazing athletes that reflect the courage, determination, and passion of our running community. We hope this ongoing blog series will introduce some new and familiar faces, and inspire you on your 10K journey.
Five years ago, the Boston 10K for Women was just another race on Adina Crawford’s calendar.
It was something to train for. Something to complete. She showed up focused on the usual things—miles, pace, and whether her body would cooperate on race day.
But what she didn’t expect was how much that race—and the community around it—would change her.
Year after year, Adina kept coming back. And with each return, the race became something more than a finish line. It became a marker of her personal growth.
Some years, she arrived feeling strong, confident, and prepared. Other years, she showed up carrying more—doubt, injuries, setbacks, or the quiet weight of life beyond running. But no matter the season, she made the same choice: to show up.
And every time, the Boston 10K for Women met her exactly where she was.
Over time, the race transformed into a reflection of her journey. It mirrored her resilience in moments of challenge, her strength during periods of rebuilding, and her commitment to keep moving forward—even when it wasn’t easy.
For Adina, running is no longer just about performance. It’s about honesty, consistency, and choosing yourself again and again.
The Boston 10K for Women has become a space where she can do exactly that—surrounded by a community that celebrates every version of who she is, on every kind of day.
This October, Adina will return once again—not chasing perfection, but embracing the journey. Because for her, the real victory isn’t just crossing the finish line—it’s continuing to show up.
