New for this year is the addition of some four-legged charm at our finish line. Say hello to Dewey, a nine-year-old, one-eyed wonder dog, who—through the loving ownership of his mom Lisa Tulipani—has gone from rescue to therapy dog. Now with five years of therapy dog service under his collar, this handsome and resilient pup has volunteered at many stress-relief events, and is very excited to see our runners cross the finish line in October!
While Dewey isn’t a runner himself, he is very supportive of the running community, and is an ambassador for Pug Rescue of New England. He’s experienced in volunteering for events of all sizes, and has been at more than a few races over the years through his work with The Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc., including the annual Pug Rescue of New England Annual 5K Fundraiser.
Be sure to watch for Dewey in the finish area on race day!
